» » Three NA members likely to be appointed tomorrow

Kathmandu, Feb 9 : The Friday meeting of the Council of Ministers gave authority to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to decide on appointment of three members of the National Assembly (NA).\

The announcement to this would possibly be made by tomorrow, said Spokesperson for the government and Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet. 

  The recently held NA elections elected 56 members, and the remaining three members will, according to the constitution, be appointed by President on the recommendation of the Cabinet.

Likewise, the meeting also decided to give the honorary title of brigadier general to Rastrakabi Madhav Prasad Ghimire, and agreed in principle to amend and draft laws related to industrial intellectual property.


Also, the meeting approved the report relating to investment in Budigandaki Hydropower Project, and decided to declare the forest in Bara, where sage Ram Bahadur Bomjan resides, religious forest area.
