Kathmandu, Feb 9 : The World Hindu Council Nepal has urged the concerned side to elect the chief minister of Province-2 who respects the public mandate- the majority of Hindu community.

Organizing a press conference here Friday, Council Chair Teeka Pahadi and Peovince-2 Coordinator Binaya Yaday said it was essential to protect Hindu civilization and culture.

They argued the Province-2 is a home to the Rajarshi Janak,  Chhinamasta Mai, Gahabamai, Gadhimai, Bindhyabasini Mai among other religious sites, so the leaders there should  preserve these heritages.
