» » Provincial chiefs and temporary capitals can be reviewed: Chair Oli

Kathmandu, Jan 18 : CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the appointment of provincial chiefs and declaration of temporary capitals by the incumbent government could be reviewed after formation of a new government.

After returning from Bangkok, Thailand after his regular health check-up today, Chairman Oli said that although it was the responsibility of the government to declare temporary capital of provinces and provincial chiefs, it was not necessary to launch agitation against the decision as the provincial assembly would take decision assessing its necessity and possibility regarding the issues.

The CPN (UML) Chair clarified that the new government would take necessary decision regarding provincial chiefs.

He reiterated that delay in formation of a new government at a time when new mandate has already been received from the election was not in favour of democracy and constitution. Saying the unification process with the CPN (Maoist Centre) would be accelerated, Chair Oli claimed that there was no any illusion and uncertainty in this regard.

Also the former Prime Minister, Chairman Oli said that his health condition is good and he did not hold any meeting with the Thai government officials during his stay in Bangkok. He left for Bangkok on December 10 for a health check-up.
