Kathmandu, Aug 31: The West Bengal
Travel & Tourism Fair is taking place in Soaltee Hotel in the capital from
September 2 to 4.
The fair will be
jointly organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and
Industry (FNCCI), Kathmandu- based Indian Embassy and West Bengal Industry and
Commerce Association.
According to the
Indian Embassy, the fair is being organized on the occasion of the establishment
of 70 years of Indo-Nepal bilateral ties.
The charge de affairs of Indian Embassy, Dr
Avay Kumar, in a press meet today shared that the fair is taking place with a
view to expanding bilateral trade and economic relations and strengthening
religious, tourism and cultural ties between the two countries.
He added that the fair will provide a platform
for the business communities of both countries to discuss on the issues
relating to economic and industrial areas.
Similarly, FNCCI
President Bhawani Rana shared that the fair will create environment
conducive to potentials investors from the West Bengal to invest in Nepal in various
sectors including hotel, agriculture, steel, coffee and education.
