Kathmandu, Nov 15: There will be some delay in registration of constitution amendment proposal, said to be submitted in the Legislature-Parliament within mid-November, due to lack of homework among major political parties and 15-day ultimatum given to the government by the United Democratic Madhesi Front.

During the address by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on November 11 on the occasion of government's 100 days, he said that the amendment proposal would be registered with mid-November.

It is going to be delayed for sometime after the UDMF, which has been demanding constitution amendment, submitted a memo on Monday warning of launching agitation if the amendment proposal was not registered within 15 days.

PM Dahal's Press Advisor Govinda Acharya said that the constitution amendment proposal would not be registered at the moment as Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba had asked time to hold discussion and Morcha's 15-day ultimatum.

The Prime Minister has been holding discussion with the CPN (UML) over the constitution amendment, but the party has sought its rationale and significance.
