Kathmandu, Oct 19: Locals of Khokana, Sainbu and Bungmati of Lalitpur district residing along the Kathmandu-Nijgadh fast track have drawn attention of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal about their problems and demands.

An all-party concern committee under the leadership of Spokesperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pampha Bhusal, called on the PM on Wednesday and demanded increase in the compensation to be given by the government in course of land acquisition for the fast track construction.

On the occasion, office-bearers of the committee urged the PM to provide compensation as per the current market price and to protect local culture and heritages in course of fast track construction.

Stating that Kathmandu-Nijgadh fast track was in priority of the government as it is a project of national pride, PM Dahal expressed the commitment that he would soon hold discussion about the concern of local stakeholders and project implementation by organising a meeting in this regard.
