Also the former Prime Minister, Oli, stressed the need of searching alternative space for the library to make it wider and reader-friendly. He also expressed the commitment to provide possible maximum support for the advancement of the library.
Library Chairman, Dr Narayan Khadka, underlined the urgency of developing and expanding library along with the development of urban areas and noted that library would contribute to build a society of intellectuals and critical citizens.
Pointing out the need of public library and its importance, Vice-Chairman of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Dr Kul Bahadur Basnet and Rajesh Ghimire, a social activist, said that library should be well equipped with physical infrastructure.
General Secretary of the Kathmandu Valley Public Library Society, Tirtha Raj Wanta, said that although e-library service has been in operation, it has not been run in a smooth manner for lack of computers.
