Parsa, July 5: The District Court Parsa has ordered the release of eight doctors taken into police custody on the charge of possessing fake academic certificates on bail.
A single bench of court judge Mohammad Junaid Monday ordered their release on bail.
The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepali Police on June 17 arrested nine doctors from Burgunj on the charge of owning fake educational certificates. Of them, eight are to be released on bail as per the court decision, according to court Information Officer Madhav Prasad Timilsina.
The court has demanded bail amount of Rs 3.5 million from Dr Mahammad Ruhullah, Rs 775,000 from Dr Ram Kumar Pradhan, Rs 1.8 million from Dr Dinesh Kumar Saha Teli, Rs 400,000 from Dr Kush Raj Giri and Rs 375,000 from Dr Isradul Haqque. Similarly, the court has sought Rs 1.5 million from Dr Pannalal Patel, Rs 200,000 from Dr Nimesh Raman Pal and Rs 1 million from Dr Sharoj Kumar Singh as a bail amount.
Nepal Medical Council will decide whether the doctors to be released on bail will be allowed to return to duty, the court said.
