Kathmandu, June 7: Coordinator of Federal Alliance Upendra Yadav has said that the constitution should be made in such a way so as to address people of all languages and cultural unity.

Speaking at a press meet organized to share information about the hunger strike that the Alliance began at the open theatre today, he said the new constitution should be amended as it includes discriminatory provisions. "As the constitution brought through a fast-track approach did not fulfill our demands, it is not acceptable to us", he said.

On a different note, he said the Alliance would not indulge in making or breaking governments, and neither join any consensus government as well.

In the relay hunger strike that began at the Open Theatre today, 30 persons including Chair of Rastriya Madhesh Samajbadi Forum Sharat Singh Bhandari, Sadbhawana Party Chair Laxman Lal Karna, Chair of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (R) Rajkishore Yadav, senior leader of Federal Socialist Forum Ashok Rai took part.

The relay hunger strike would take place from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm every day until mid-July. The hunger strike joined by 29 parties affiliated to the alliance has been organized to exert pressure on the government to fulfill a 26-point demand, according to Co-chair of Federal Socialist Forum Rajendra Shrestha.
