Bhimduttanagar, 24 April: Five Indian police personnel including a police inspector were arrested from Doti today.

Doti police arrested them near from Sanagaun who had entered there saying they came here in search of a criminal.  The plains clothes Indian policemen were carrying  arms.

Sanagaun is border area of Doti and Achham.

Nepal police said that the Indian police were arrested while they were heading towards Achham in search of the accused of a murder of doctor in Punjab. They had brought a local of Achham from Punjab as a guide.

According to the source, an AK-47 rifle and its 25 round of ammunition, a pistol and its 12 rounds of ammunition were seized from them.

Preparation was underway to bring them to Kailali.

Chief at the Far-Western Region Police Office, Deputy Inspector General Bijay Raj Bhatta refused to provide detailed information in this regard.
